Joanne is a storyteller and comic who is proud to say she's worked in almost every genre of Canadian Comedy. As a television writer she's written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, The Baroness von Sketch Show and CBC's Music Documentary show, From the Vaults.
In the live Canadian arts scene, she's performed stand-up across Canada as well as written and performed in three solo shows. Her third, and most recent, She Grew Funny, premiered to sold-out audiences at the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival, where it was Factory Theatre Studio Patron’s Pick, and one of Now Magazine’s Outstanding New Plays. She's the proud winner of a Writer's Guild of Canada award and her second one-woman show, Any Second Now was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award.
Joanne’s podcast, Happy Funny Amazing, where guests tell her their funniest, happiest and most amazing true stories, recently recorded three episodes live in front of an audience as part of the 2022 Meighen Forum the Stratford Festival.

Joanne has been a coach & facilitator for over 18 years, supporting executives and their teams to navigate critical conversations, deliver compelling presentations and build relationships through attentive customer service. As an accomplished content creator, Joanne has created over 20 training programs for clients, from front-line phone sales to executive-level coaching techniques. She has personally coached over 800 clients and has honed techniques that inspire self-reflection, motivation, and action. Her many years as a comic, screenwriter, and storyteller have not only given her deep respect and understanding for the importance of language, but the humour, insight, and empathy needed to coach in a way that is authentic, constructive, and fun.
